Combe Lane, SW20: Planning Approved and Development Completed

Barnes Design secured planning permission for the redevelopment of this challenging site within a conservation area in the London Borough of Merton. Earlier proposals had suffered from a weak design approach, so our strategy focused on replacing the dated 1980s character with a more carefully considered contemporary scheme that responded positively to its surroundings.

The development maximised the site’s potential to create six new two and three-bedroom flats, while retaining the opportunity for a future ground-floor apartment. Barnes Design delivered the full detailed design and tender package, supporting the project through to its completion.
