Fawcett Road, CR0: Planning Approved and Development Completed

Barnes Design secured planning permission to transform a constrained brownfield site at 47A Fawcett Road in Croydon. Previously occupied by derelict single-storey buildings, lock-ups and garages, the site had been used for car repairs within an otherwise predominantly residential neighbourhood of two-storey terraced houses.

Through two planning applications and continued dialogue with Croydon Council, we developed a carefully considered scheme that responded to the scale and character of its surroundings. The completed development replaced the former commercial use with seven new homes, bringing an underused site back into productive residential use.
